83 Trials
A downloadable game
January 5 update: Level 64 has been buffed. Now some of the escalator steps are unstable and may break if the player stands on them for too long.
January 4 update #2: fixed some bugs in some levels in the 60s
January 4 update: Level 64 implemented. All levels 1-67 are done.
January 3 update: Level 65 implemented.
December 31 update: Level 66 implemented
December 30 update: Skipped ahead to level 67, and finished implementing it. Levels 64-66 remain unimplemented.
November 20 update: buffed level 60 by making it so that there's a 1/3 probability that instead of the master key being in the chests, an alien is holding it, in which one has to defeat the alien (that has 4x usual health points) in order to obtain it.
November 15 update: slightly buffed level 52, and added food/healing to level 60.
Hi everyone, so this is gonna be my first solo game. This is planned to be a 83-level platformer with a plethora of gimmicks. I'd say just about every level introduces a new gameplay mechanic, and a few levels might deviate from even being considered platformer, so I hope you have fun playtesting :)
So far, 63 out of the 83 main levels are implemented. This game is separated in four biomes/themes (castle, taiga, space, future city, each with 20 levels) plus three bossfights for 81-83, which I haven't gotten to yet. Aside from main levels, so far, there are 42 achievements you can get, plus two minigames that are unlocked after beating levels 49 and 60, respectively.
Some of the physics as well as UI (e.g. level and advice labels) might still be rather dodgy atm (in which I'll fix later), so bear with me, but the levels are functional.
Level progression system is fully implemented (i.e. you can't go to the next level until you've beaten the current level), but the shift+LEFT/RIGHT system for skipping levels still exists, solely for the ease of playtesting. (For instance, if I wanted to playtest, say level 54, I wouldn't want to start over from level 1 and do all of the levels first)
There's a huge variety of levels, and with that comes a plethora of controls too. Since I'm currently too lazy to add UI that tells the player meticulously which key is bound to which function(s), I have written up ad hoc documentation that tells you which controls are which.
